Hey guys
I love what you are doing and would love to be riding along with you! Good luck with the record attempt and hope you raise enough for this worthy cause! I will be donating. : )
Well done mate! You set off just before me on my solo ride to JOG (I am the guy in black next to superwoman in your starting pic) and I couldn’t believe my eyes.
Respect for the time taken to do it too. I took it comparably easy (15 days) but did go the long way round (1087m in total) but thoroughly enjoyed it.
I’m glad I didn’t go up the A99 like you boys after seeing that hill at Braes on the bus on the way home.
Sam was raising funds for his friend's charity in Uganda:
Amount raised: £565.40
Donations raised are going towards the work of Wake Up! Ministries in Uganda. Led by Martin Nangoli, whom Sam lived and worked with in 2004 during his gap year, Wake Up! is a grassroots organisation with a passion for improving people's lives in the rural Ugandan village of Kikobero in which Martin grew up. They provide school sponsorship, adult education, sport and health programs and emergency aid for food to help survive the recent failed crops.
Note: The card processing is by PayPal, who take a fee of 3.4% + 20p for each transaction, so if you are able to send money directly to me by UK cheque then we can raise a little more. Please get in touch by email: sam (at) redwelly dot co dot uk
